This philosophical question is the nature of reality in a pragmatic way.
Each agent has its own reality. It is only when two agents communicate and can exchange elements of each others reality that the question of the true reality arises. The good reproducibility of sensory streams and the high degree of consistency of perceptions among humans has led us to believe that there is a single true reality or world that is more comprehensive than the individual realities and that individual realities are partial and imperfect images of that true reality.
